Challenge London will take place on Sunday 28 July 2024 (pending approval).

This means there will be road closures in certain parts of London on this date.

We have been working closely with Westminster City Council, City of London, London Borough of Tower of Hamlets, London Borough of Newham, and TfL to ensure disruption is kept to the absolute minimum.

Road closures will go in place from around 04:30am and remain in place until 06:00pm in some areas.

More information will be confirmed closer to the event for 2024.

It is important to be aware that it will not be possible for cars or cyclists to access the closed roads during the times indicated.

If you do need to travel, we recommend that you plan ahead to consider the best route. We also recommend that you allow extra time for your journey if you must travel during the times of the road closures.

Public Transport

Please note that road closures will mean some local bus services will be diverted or terminate earlier than usual. Tube and rail will be the best way to get around Eastern London on the day.

Here below some useful information to get around London in the early morning:

The Jubilee line operates Night Tube overnight from Saturday into the Sunday (around six trains an hour if a good service)

The Elizabeth line does indeed operate on a Sunday however the first trains through Custom House are 08.05hrs (eastbound) and 07.05hrs (westbound)

Likewise, the first scheduled trains for the DLR on a Sunday are around 07.00hrs unless special arrangements are in place.
